Wine has been made at Kleine Zalze since 1695. Today, this family-owned winery, 3km outside Stellenbosch, in the heart of the Cape Winelands, continues the tradition of producing wines of outstanding quality. Kleine Zalze Wine Estate also includes the award-winning Terroir Restaurant, a Top 10 South African Restaurant since 2004, as well as the 47 bedroom, 4 star Kleine Zalze Lodge. The De Zalze Golf Course crosses over Kleine Zalze’s land, and the synergistic lifestyle offerings available on the estate all live up to the same quality standards as Kleine Zalze’s award winning wines. The facilities are interlinked and visitors are encouraged to enjoy them together as part of a lifestyle experience. Designed in the Cape vernacular, the lodge blends seamlessly with the local environment and mirrors the aesthetics set by the neighbouring golf estate. The spacious, tranquil rooms are comfortable and sophisticated but informally decorated with tasteful simplicity, affording visitors total privacy. Each suite is named after a grape cultivar and comes with its own fireplace. All 47 rooms offer exquisite views of the vineyards, mountains and golf course.
