What is MoreGolf Getaways

MoreGolf Getaways is part of the MoreGolf Group of companies. The mission of MoreGolf Getaways is to bring South Africa's best golfing destinations to our members in the most affordable way. MoreGolf Getaways also seeks to make other interesting destinations available to its members with core criteria being value and convenience.

Where can I book to stay?

There are hundreds of destinations that you can book at, ranging from golf resorts such as Zimbali, Selborne and Pinnacle Point, to hotels such as the Beacon Isle. There are also many self-catering options and a wide range of international packaged holidays. We are confident you will find a great destination to match your interests and your pocket.

What discounts do I get on MoreGolf Getaways

These discounts range from 20% - 60% on the rack rate. Most importantly though, you get access to hundreds of fantastic resorts that you normally would not be able to.

Who can book accommodation via MoreGolf Getaways

Anybody can book a stay with MoreGolf Getaways. However to enjoy the discounts mentioned, you need to become a member of MoreGolf Getaways. To become a member, simply complete the member application form here or call us on 0861 752 966.

What does it cost to become a member of MoreGolf Getaways

If you have The Pro Shop Credit Card, MoreGolf Getaways membership is available to you free of charge. . If you are a member of the Vodacom World of Golf, Vodacom Golf Village or playmoregolfSA with vodacom, membership is also free. Anyone else can join MoreGolf Getaways by paying a once-off joining fee of R299 and a monthly membership fee of R99. How much will my golf cost me when I book a stay at one of the golf estates?

Depending on which resort or estate you choose to stay at, golf may be included in your package price or you may qualify for a special discounted rate - ask your consultant when you book your stay.

Do I need to sign a contract when I join MoreGolf Getaways

To become a member of MoreGolf Getaways, you will need to sign a membership application form. However, you can give 30 days notice if you want to resign. Notice can be forwarded to info@moregolfgetaways.co.za

How many beds in each bedroom?

This varies from resort to resort. You can find out by clicking for example on Golf Estates. Select a resort and click on Accommodation where you will find a description of the bedroom configurations. Please also ask the agent when you are booking for details around this configuration.

How many nights do I have to book?

This varies from resort to resort and is dependent on season. The general rule though, is a minimum of 2 nights. In high season, you may need to book a full week, depending on the resort. Please ask the agent when you are booking for details.

How much availability is there?

Subject to availability, there are over 1 500 weeks available per annum at the various golf estates, with 80 000 weeks available at the other resorts. Availability is dependent on the season and how far in advance you are making the booking.

How many guests can a member invite?

You can invite as many guests as the unit can accommodate. Please confirm numbers when you make your booking.

How do I cancel a booking?

You can cancel a booking by calling 0861 752 966. Different resorts have different cancellation policies and your consultant will be able to advise you when you call in. You may have to pay a cancellation fee, depending on how far in advance you wish to cancel. In some instances, you may forfeit the amount paid in full.

When I book, do I need to pay a deposit?

In many instances, your trip will only be confirmed upon full payment. However, there are a few resorts which will accept a 50% deposit to secure your booking and the balance is payable a certain number of days before check-in.

How much will the trip cost me?

The rates you will find on the website are usually for accommodation only, unless otherwise stated. All extras, such as lunches, drinks, telephone calls, laundry, caddies are not included in the package. The golf prices vary. As mentioned previously, every booking carries an administration cost of between R100 and R200.

Can I bring children on these trips?

Children are always welcome. However, the policy on children varies from venue to venue, so do enquire if you have a specific away getaway in mind.

Do I need a handicap to book and play at any of the golf estates?

On most occasions the answer is no. What it does mean is that you may have to pay a premium or visitor rate to play golf. It may also mean that you may not get access to any competitions that may be played. Please contact us on 0861 752 966 or that particular golf estate to find out more.

How do I pay?

You can pay by credit card, EFT or direct deposit. Proof of payment to be scanned and emailed to enquiries@moregolfgetaways.co.za or faxed to 086 575 5402
